The article “Between Documentary Sources and the Activation of Imaginaries: A Map of Resources for the Study of the History of Environmentalism in Spain”, by Alberto Berzosa Camacho, offers a critical mapping of archives, documentary sources, and memory projects related to the environmental movement in Spain. Published in Historia Contemporánea, the study examines the evolution of available sources from the 1970s to the present, with particular attention to materials produced by activists themselves and their role in shaping collective imaginaries. Drawing on perspectives from environmental history, visual studies, and cultural history, the article explores both institutional and personal archives, as well as recent initiatives aimed at activating memory through exhibitions, digital platforms, and collaborative practices. The research represents a significant contribution to the study of contemporary social movements by providing methodological tools and key resources for future research on environmentalism, memory, and visual culture in the Spanish context.
