The Spanish Society for the History of Science and Technology (SEHCYT) will hold its fifteenth congress in Gijón from Wednesday 18th to Saturday 21st June 2025. The symposia and papers are grouped around six thematic axes:
– Scientific and technical heritage: challenges of a cultural heritage.
– Science and technology in Asturias: from modernity to the present time.
– Transnational networks, transfers and circulation of techno-scientific knowledge.
– Challenges of environmental history.
– The contributions of women in the production of knowledge.
– History of science, medicine and technology: a plurality of perspectives.
Among them, the Energy Humanities group will participate in the axis ‘Challenges of environmental history’, in the table nº 11 under the title History of energy from the perspective of the Energy Humanities: challenges, possibilities and perspectives. -13h. Gemma Barricarte Armendáriz (Institute of History-CSIC-Madrid). Fossil culture and concrete: an exploration of the fossil industry in modern Spain through the construction of a tower building.
