As part of the exhibition “Textile Weaves. Matter, Capital, and Labor” at Casa Elizalde (Barcelona) on June 30, 2025, Jaime Vindel examines the connection between water, memory, and industry from a Southern European perspective. He focuses on traditional uses, social conflicts, and modernizing projects surrounding water in the Manzanares River basin, which runs through the province of Madrid and where various industries and infrastructures linked to textile, paper, and hydroelectric power production have developed over the past few centuries.
The exhibition will be held from May 9th to July 26th, 2025.
