Taking Aby Warburg&#8217;s work as a reference, different authors and research projects have imagined a genealogy of gestures and bodies that resists the linearity of positivist history and its narratives of progress. However, it is equally true that, at times, this emphasis on the anthropological character of recurring images throughout the various epochs and geographies (what Warburg called the Pathosformeln or &#8220;formulas of pathos&#8221;), has also generated a dehistoricization that becomes particularly delicate when we speak of gestures and expressions embedded in revolutionary processes with a particular political intentionality. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">How to imagine a cultural history of images that rescues in a revulsive way the sensitive memory of the past, without losing sight of its concrete anchoring in the contexts of emancipation? This is the reason for an active discussion recently held between Georges Didi-Huberman and Enzo Traverso on the occasion of the publication by the latter of his book<em> Revolution. An Intellectual History<\/em> (2021). The debate, which originally appeared in the French journal <em>Analyse Opinion Critique<\/em>, has just been translated by the journal <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/revistas-filologicas.unam.mx\/acta-poetica\/index.php\/ap\/article\/view\/922\/1337\">Acta Poetica<\/a><\/em> <\/span>(44-1, January-June 2023, pp. 13-94): . Es autor de los libros Cine y sexopol\u00edtica (Brumaria, 2020), Homoherej\u00edas F\u00edlmicas (Brumaria, 2014) y C\u00e1mara en mano contra el franquismo (Al Margen, 2009). Tambi\u00e9n ha comisariado algunas exposiciones como \"Madrid Activismos 1968-1982\" en La Casa Encendida o \"Sexopol\u00edticas del cine marginal. A\u00f1os 70 y 80\" en el Institut Valenci\u00e0 d'Art Modern. Es coautor del ensayo f\u00edlmico Memorias de Unltramar (2021).
