En <em>Enclosing Water: Nature and Political Economy in a Mediterranean Valley, 1796-1916<\/em> (2010), analiza c\u00f3mo la privatizaci\u00f3n y el control del agua en el valle del Liri, en los Apeninos italianos, transformaron la relaci\u00f3n entre naturaleza, econom\u00eda pol\u00edtica y sociedad.
