Paula Barreiro

Head researcher of the international platform MoDe(s) and professor of Contemporary Art at the Art History Department of the of the Université Grenoble-Alpes/Laboratoire LARHRA UMR 5190. Since 2007 she has worked at several European research institutions and universities in France, the U.K., Switzerland and Spain, including the Institut National d´Histoire de l´Art [INHA] in Paris, the University of Liverpool, the Université de Genève and the Instituto de Historia of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas [CSIC] in Madrid and, recently at the University of Barcelona (Ramón y Cajal programme). Her research focuses on art criticism, cultural networks and politics in Spain, Western Europe and Latin America during the Cold War as well as the diverse and divergent developments of modernity reflected in the art historic accounts within an increasingly globalised world. Gemma Barricarte

Gemma Barricarte (Pamplona, 1993) is a graduate in Architecture Studies by the Architecture School of Barcelona (ETSAB, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya). She is currently studying a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of Barcelona (ICTA- Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and she has studies in Fine Arts (Universitat de Barcelona). She has a long trajectory in environmental and student activism, having been part of Architecture Sens Frontières (ASF), Espai Social de Formació i Arquitectura (ESFA, UPC), Ecologistas en Acción, Fridays For Future (FFF) and the Xarxa per la Justícia Climàtica. She has published her essays and articles in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, El País, Climática and CTXT and she is part of CTXT Editorial Board. Santiago Morilla Chinchilla

Multidisciplinary artist, PhD in Contemporary Art (UCM, Complutense University of Madrid) and specialised in New Media Art (Media Lab at University of Art and Design Helsinki, UIAH, Finland), researcher and lecturer at UCM Faculty of Fine Arts. He is currently part of the research groups "Practicas artísticas y nuevas formas de conocimiento " (id UCM: 588) and "Urban Art and Technosphere" associated with the Master in “Creative Approaches to Public Space” (University of Rennes 2, France) . His art practice –with such diverse media as photography, video, digital mapping, installations and situated performances – investigates the contemporary relationships between aesthetics, politics and cultural ecology, considering questions related to the processes of environmental decline and multispecies coexistence. José María Parreño

He is professor of Art History at the Faculty of Fine Arts (UCM) as well as the Diploma of Specialization in Sustainability, Ecological Ethics and Environmental Education (UPV). He is linked to several academic projects that study and promote artistic practices committed to the ecosocial crisis. Specifically, he has been a member of the Research Projects "Art and ecology: strategies for the protection of the natural environment and recovery of degraded territories" (2011-2014), "Environmental humanities. Strategies for ecological empathy and transition towards sustainable societies" (2016-19) and "Ecological humanities and ecosocial transitions. Ethical, aesthetic and pedagogical proposals for the Anthropocene". He leads the Complutense Research Group "Climatologies of the planet and consciousness. Art and climate change". Alejandro Pedregal

Independent researcher, he has been part of the Fossil Aesthetics project of the Art History and Visual Culture Research Group of the Institute of History of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), lecturer at the University-Wide Art Studies (UWAS) of the Aalto University (Finland), and Postdoctoral and Visiting Researcher at the Department of Film, Television and Scenography of the same institution, Department from which he also obtained his Doctor degree.
